Laura Lee Parks 1926-2008

Rest in Peace Grandma Laura. You were truly an angel and not of this world. I'd like to think of your passing away like my step father said. Not me loosing a grandmother but heaven gaining an angel. You lived a long and beautiful life. You lived through World War II,Vietnam,The declaration of human rights, Desegregation of Schools, September 11th and the first black man to win the presidential election for the United States of America. You taught me so much and I will never forget how much love we had for one another. You didn't have a lot of money or spoil me with toys, instead you spoiled me rich with time. You played with me for hours on end. Walked me to school everyday. You listened, and for that I am eternally grateful to you. You were a mother to many. You were not only a second mother to me, helping to raise me most of my life. You were also a mother to my mom, which I will never forget. I believe that whenever anyone is feeling sad because you are gone we should realize like my mother said that you are in each of us. You are alive and well in each person you loved. I have an old soul because of you and I will connect with that everyday of my life. You are a cherished Mother and Grandmother.

Rest In Peace Grandma Laura.
